Here in the Northern hemisphere summer is slowly ending, which means kids go back to school, days become shorter, and where do we keep the rain and winter coats? While seasons change, crypto keeps us guessing. Bear season? Bull season? Wen moon? Aside from the price speculations, one thing is becoming clear: blockchain technology is here to stay, and the industry needs services that make applications discoverable. They. need. us.
August has been a month during which we can prepare for the final quarter of 2024, which starts in October of course. But when people come back from holiday, it’s time to start doing business again. This September you can expect various new blockchains and ecosystems to join DappRadar through integrations, you can expect new developments surrounding DappLaunch, and alongside all that the DAO is shaping up.
But first, let’s look back at our achievements in August. LFG!
General
DappLaunch applications
During August we’ve been shaping up the DappLaunch program even more. Dozens, if not hundreds, of exciting Web3 projects have applied to join the DappLaunch program. Teams had until August 30th to sign up, and it’s up to the Selection Committee to decide. You can expect more about these developments in the coming weeks.
DappRadar: Season 1
DappRadar’s gamification product allows users to level up their account by completing quests and interacting with gamified elements on the DappRadar platform. In August, Season 1 has ended. Based on the XP earned, we’ve been able to create a ranking of the most engaged community members. Thanks to the help or our partners, we’ve been able to distribute prizes to the top users. Community members have until September 13th to claim their seasonal rewards.
And yes, we’re working on Season 2, and the number of gamified elements in our platform will increase over time.
DappRadar platform
Even though August was a relatively quiet month for us, we were still able to welcome a new ecosystem to the World’s Dapp Store. The gaming ecosystem of Xterio can now be tracked on DappRadar. Every game developer building on this chain, can list their projects for free through our Developer Dashboard.
In addition, we’ve also announced the upcoming integration of Sei.
Web3 comes with a lot of tribalism, but at the World’s Dapp Store we want to unite everybody under one banner. We want users to discover any dapp that meets their needs, no matter which chain it’s being built on. At DappRadar we see the future as multichain and omnichain, meaning that users can move their assets fast and cheap across different blockchain networks.
It’s not without reason that another 10 blockchains have lined up to join the World’s Dapp Store in the coming months.
DappRadar in the media
August was the last month that DappRadar has been using Meltwater to track media mentions. This means that next month our numbers will likely be slightly different.
In August we recorded a total of 776 media mentions across all international news websites. That number is down 25% from the month before. However, we’ve applied some rigorous spam filters which have impacted our numbers big time. Notably, in August we’ve seen many media mentions from Asia, with China and Vietnam leading the pack.
If we filter our media mentions by Top News Outlets, a curated list of media by our team, we’ve seen an increase of 3% month over month. Top media mentioned DappRadar 40 times, with Cointelegraph and BeInCrypto standing out as the biggest contributors.
Reports
Reports written by our in-house researcher Sara Gherghelas have been fundamental in establishing DappRadar as a trusted source for blockchain intelligence. Media rely in our insights, while these reports help us to onboard new Web3 enthusiasts who are looking into the wonderful world of dapps.

412% growth for the Linea ecosystem in terms of TVL, suggesting more conviction from the community.
DAO and RADAR
You might think that August was a bit slow, but for the DappRadar DAO things were moving fast. We’ve seen three proposals, including ones proposed by the DappRadar Core team and the DappRadar community. We had the following DappRadar Community Proposals:
- DCP 26 - SushiSwap V2 Rewards Extension - Liquidity providers on SushiSwap now receive RADAR rewards daily for another 3 months. Approved by vote.
- DCP 27 - Migration from ApeSwap to PancakeSwap - Community proposed to move liquidity from ApeSwap to PancakeSwap in order to gain more visibility. Approved by vote.
- DCP-28 - Allocation of 80M RADAR to GSR for liquidity support - bringing more liquidity to market maker GSR to allow improved trading. Approved by vote.
Everybody holding RADAR tokens can have a say in our votes. The bigger your RADAR token holdings, the more impact your vote can have. Moreover, if you have 30,000 RADAR you might as well put it into a DappRadar PRO membership.

Listen, between you and me, I think the PRO memberships are undervalued, and more people in the wider Web3 community should be aware of their unique proposition. Staking 30,000 RADAR gets you access to:

Let’s make this happen, share the PRO membership with your friends, tell them about the benefits, and if they don’t like it they can always unstake their tokens.
Parting thoughts
August has been a month of forging and regaining energy. When market sentiment turns green again, we expect a heavy influx of users to discover DappRadar. This September and the months that follow, we are looking to introduce more features, add more value to the PRO membership and of course welcome more chains to our ecosystem.
