Welcome back Web3 explorers,
We are entering the End Game of 2024, and with the US Presidential Election decided in the favor of Trump, we could be at a crossroads: either the Mega Bull Run will happen soon, or we keep playing The Waiting Game as we move into 2025.
What you don’t have to wait for, is new developments within DappRadarDAO and on the DappRadar platform. Something that started as a Ranking of the most popular dapps on Ethereum, now supports over 70 blockchains, offers various filter options, and supports multiple product categories. Moreover, users who engage with for example our Airdrops Explorer, or who complete Quests, can level up their account and climb our seasonal leaderboard.
2024 isn’t finished yet. We have got cool stuff in the pipeline, but I think it’s safe to say that DappRadar isn’t just a store for blockchain applications. No, it’s much more. Now let’s take a look at the things that we’ve been working on in October 2024.
Boosting 2.0
The DappRadar community who actively participates in our ecosystem, can now acquire Boosting Power, or simply BP. They can then use that BP to ‘boost’ their favorite projects. Every 2 weeks the top 3 projects win marketing support from DappRadar. We’ve already ended the first 2 cycles, and of course we hope you used your BP as well.
Right now you receive BP when you’re a PRO member. Your BP for each cycle is equal to the amount of RADAR you staked. In addition, you may earn some BP through special Quests, while in the near future, BP will be distributed through partnerships, or through in-app purchases. Read more about Boosting on our landing page.
Down the line, the Boosted Rankings will reflect the enthusiasm of the Web3 community, where those who are actively involved on the DappRadar platform have the biggest impact. And if you don’t agree with the Rankings, why not get a group together and all vote for the same project? Union style!
Six new chains integrated
Chain integrations are an important part of DappRadar, because as we see Web3 expanding with sidechains, L2 and L3 networks, or entirely new blockchain ecosystems, this also brings more workload to our table. Our engineering team needs to take into consideration every unique aspect of a chain, in order to translate activity to our industry standard metrics.
In October we welcomed 6 new ecosystems:
- Chiliz, the blockchain made for sports enthusiasts
- Sei Network, the super-fast and upcoming L1 network
- Starknet, the L2 scaling solution for Ethereum
- Lisk, part of the OP Superchain ecosystem, and aimed at emerging economies
- Matchain, a blockchain tailored for AI-powered tools on top of BNB Chain
- Gravity, the L2 blockchain network from engagement platform Galxe
As we add more chains, our Chain Ranking becomes a suitable place to discover emerging ecosystems. For example, ICP, Core and XRP Ledger have seen huge increases in the number of transactions from users to their dapps.
Reports and media mentions
As mentioned before, reports have a huge impact on the media coverage we receive, but over time we noticed that reporters often utilize our data to enrich their story. We will get to the media mentions in a bit, but first about the 4 reports we have published in October.
These reports had a big impact on the media coverage. In October we had 565 media mentions, which is a serious increase from our September numbers. We published the Dapp Industry Report and the BGA Games Report in the first two weeks of the month, and their impact is clearly visible.
In October, media outlets like Cointelegraph, Forbes, Wired, DailyHodl and crypto native blogs like NewsBTC, Bitcoinist, Coinmarketcap, Crypto.News, AMBcrypto and others used our reports and our data.
Marketing
The marketing team has been working on various new initiatives. Below a small overview of the things we’ve done:
- Halloween Campaign utilizing our Quests platform, offering a daily quest only available for 24 hours. We consider the campaign a success, and towards the end of the campaign we had almost doubled the number of participants when compared to the first day.
- Newsletter optimization efforts. To increase open rate and click rate, but also to remove spam accounts, we’ve done a major operation that has resulted in 85,000 deleted accounts. We hope this will help us to optimize our newsletters, better measure the engagement of these email campaigns.
- We’ve also launched 17 Quests throughout the month, allowing the community to discover new projects, use new tools, and dip their toes into interesting projects.
DappRadar DAO and RADAR update
Right now you can share your ideas on DCP-29 on our forum. This proposal is all about the Progressive Decentralization Workstream, which actively works to establish a legal framework for the DAO, setting operational milestones, accounting and reporting policies and so on. DCP-29 is all about a budget for the PDW, while it also covers an expectation on the revenues.
Please read DCP-29 and share your thoughts. Your voice can impact the direction of DappRadar DAO. Moreover, the team recorded the session. Just scroll down in the comments. However, here are some key highlights:
- The team provided transparency on DAO revenue income, including node validators, staking, affiliate revenues to new micro-payments.
- The DAO has the ambition to move RADAR beyond EVM chains, as they discussed the liquidity strategy for the token.
- DappLaunch needs to drive demand for RADAR token, encouraging projects to buy and hold the token. This needs to become a sustainable utility for RADAR.
Talking about DappLaunch, we have welcomed a new partner: Chain Patrol. They will support projects who signed up and have been approved for DappLaunch.
At the same time we now have DAO contributors signed up, who assist with support tickets and DAO content creation. Below an overview prepared by DAO community manager @Alex-Mammoth

PRO community
We keep seeing ongoing interest in our PRO Membership. Even though the real growth spikes happen around the PRO Airdrops. In the past month we welcomed a net 20 new PRO members, bringing the total to 927. Personally I still see 1,000 as the goal for this year.
In terms of new developments for PRO members, there’s stuff in the pipeline. This includes features tapping into rewards, reputation and enhanced discovery tools. If you’re not a PRO member yet, get those 30,000 RADAR from the open market, stake it, and join the PRO community.
As a PRO member you also get to boost your favorite dapps. That means that you, as a developer and project token holder, you get to shill your own project or bags. Get more RADAR for more boosting power, and therefore a better position in the leaderboards. Activate your community, and you can boost together.
As the wise Morpheus once said:
“This is your last chance. After this, there is no turning back. You take the blue pill - the story ends, you wake up in your bed and believe whatever you want to believe. You take the red pill - you stay in Wonderland and I show you how deep the rabbit hole goes.”
Closing words
There’s still a lot to be done as we’re building and expanding the biggest multichain dapp discovery platform on the market. Projects benefit from listing early on DappRadar, because it boosts their discovery potential by a multitude. Moreover, users can find projects early using our Rankings, Quests or Airdrops Explorer. It’s our job as a DAO, as a community, to spread the word and create awareness. There’s less than 60 days left in the year, let’s do this!
